Medication normally used to treat epilepsy in humans was administered to mice in order to understand the effects tinnitus have on specific cells within the auditory center of the brain. Promising results were found in the mice that received the FDA approved epilepsy drug. The mice were able to detect sound breaks and changes during the study, indicating that tinnitus effects have been blocked by the drug. Click here to read more.
